I have XP Home Ed and found under Documents & Settings\...\Application Data\
Macromedia\ Flash Player\#SharedObjects\NECFXUWS a number of folders related
to sites I have visited (or installed) in the past but had no idea that they
had found a permanent spot in my system.

Could you tell me if this constitutes some sort of danger?

And can I delete these, and other folders in Documents &
Settings\...\Application Data\ 'various Programmes'? For instance, I have
Stopzilla,iTunes, which I remember downloading in the past and then
uninstalling.

Thank you

there is no harm on deleting these files. but it will mean that you pc
will run slower for a while (well atleast my one did after deleting
application data)

Hi Peter,

That is where those programs loaded their supporting files. If you delete
them and they are needed, you will have to wait while the data is recreated
or redownloaded from the site.

As to part 2 of your question, yes you can delete the folders from the
uninstalled applications.
