Documents or info re: file extensions?

I have noticed that my DAT files are using my creative
media player as the program to open them. Not sure but I
don't believe that is correct? Would also like list of
ext. and explanation of each? Is this available on-line?
 
Try this: From any Windows Explorer window, open the Tools menu. Select
Folder Options and then the File Types tab.
