Documents and Setting\Application Data??

I have a program I have backed from my old computer running XP. To transfer
it to another computer I have to paste it to
C:\Documents and Settings\my name\Application Data.
I see that D&S is now Users, but what about Application Data? I see
AppData, but under that is 'Local', 'LocalLow', and 'Roaming'. I pasted my
backup file into the AppData folder, and it is listed now with the other
three, but when I open my program, none of my info is there. This method
worked fine when I transfered from one XP computer to another.
Thanks.

I don't know if this means anything or not, but the program is not showing
up in 'Program files' but I am able to use the program, it just has no info
in it.

You are right - Application Data is now AppData. I suspect you have to put
your files in one of those folders - possibly local if only one user account
needs it and roaming if multiple user accounts can access it. I don't know
the specific details, that is just a guess.
