Is there an addin available that would automatically add a date time comment
at the end of any line that you are editing?

I'm not aware of any but I'm curious wouldn't that add an awful lot of noise
to your sourcecode?

Wouldn't it be more productive to employ some sort or source control?

Just an idea.

Rory,

It really is easy to simply put a '09/07/2007 RAL comment on the end of
every line that I hit the Enter key. A bit of laziness on our part. We put
a bunch of work on a change that we want to back out of. We use Evolution
for source control and FAILED (like the F word?) to check it all in just
before starting this new change that we want to back out of.

Thanks again,

Rick

Fair enough. If you're genuinely still happy to do this, i'd suggest either
Coderush which has build in User-modifiable templates, or alternatively the
free plugin Framework that it is based on called DXCore

Both available from http://www.devexpress.com

Now coderush has many benefits, but for your specific case, you should be
able to configure it to add the information you require using a custom template.

If you don't want to shell out for CR, then I would suggest looking into
the DXCore framework on which it's built.
