Document view showing margarins top/bottom

I'm rusty with Word right now. I'd like to view all my documents showing
spacing around the top and bottom of the page where margins are. i don't
like viewing with my curser sitting at the top of the page as if there's a
header. I've used this view for many years but suddenly (at new job) cannot
remember how to set that view and/or how to use 'settings' of some kind to
make my docs look the way I want them too.

any help appreciated

Move your cursor up to the top of your page. The cursor will change. When it
does, click.

My cursor flashes at the very top of my page as if there is no top margin.
It used to be there were lines showing margins as you work in your doc and
then at one time I could eliminate the lines but still show the 'space' that
are margins. Right now all I can get are views that show my cursor flashing
as if on line one of a page with no margin. Hope this makes sense. THANKS!

When the cursor "flashes," do you get a ScreenTip?

Perhaps you should substitute olive oil for the margarine?
