document text riddled with symbols: dots, arrows, backwards Ps

Hello,
I would like to know if anyone is familiar with text
layout suddenly showing dots between words, arrows at
tabbing, and backward Ps at sentence start and end. I
may have hit a button or something and can't seem to
track it down. Any feed back on this would be great.

It sounds like you have the option to show your non-
printing characters selected. Go to Tools/Options and
under 'view' make sure nothing is checked under 'non-
printing' characters.
