document sharing

My OS is XP Professional.

I've dedicated a separate disk to data storage. Is there
a way to designate that disk as for sharing by all users?
I don't want to drag all those files to all-users-
document-sharing on my C: Drive as directed by Microsoft.

Hi Cliff,

If you want to share all the contents of a disk on a network, right click on
the disk and select properties. Flip to the sharing tab and click on 'If you
understand the risk...'. Put a check on 'Share this folder on the network'.

If you are talking about sharing the contents amongst the local users of the
machine, the they can already access the contents without you having to do
anything. They can simply access the contents by navigating to the
disk\folder.

I had set up a local user without Administrator
privilages and I couldn't, for example, access my Family
Treemaker file which of course required writing to the
file. ---I couldn't access one of my games stored on that
disk.
