Document recovery - please help.

Where are the files from the document recovery task pane stored?

If you miss the opportunity to restore a file from the task pane. Is it
possible to recover it later?

As far as I know they are stored in the same directory as
the original document. However, they are hidden files and
have a modified name eg. '~$saved Document.doc' would have
originally been 'Unsaved Document.doc'

I have also missed the opportunity to recover the document
before and the 'recovered' file as described above does
remain intact. However I am not sure if I just closed
the 'Recover document' pane or actually clicked 'No' to
recovering them (not sure if it makes a difference, but
thought it worthwhile to note).

If you happen to find that your recovered file still
exists, all you need to do is open it again (double
clicking the file should work as it still has a .doc
extension) and saving it with a different file name.
