Document Protection in Word

I wrote that I am unable to protect an email, because the [Tools] protect
document option is shaded out. The few replies were interesting. To be more
clear, I am wanting to protect my scanned signature that I place in my
emails. I don't want to give anyone the ability to copy and paste the
object. I am in Purchasing.

Sorry, Susan. Document protection is a facility of Word, not Outlook. If you
don't want anyone to be able to copy your electronic signature, there's
virtually no sure way to do it.

Even if you could protect the object, there'd be nothing stopping someone
from pressing Alt+PrintScreen to copy the image of your signature to the
clipboard. From there, it's an easy matter to paste it into a graphics
program, crop away anything unwanted, then save & reuse your signature.

As a practical matter, your only protection is trust. Only send your
signature image to people you trust not to abuse it.
