"document not saved"

My users are working with a 4-5 mb excel file that they cannot save on their
mapped network drive. It starts saving and then they get the "Document not
saved" msg. The only workaround that works is to save it on the local drive
and then copy it using windows copy paste etc
I have checked the following:
-The drive is not full
-They have full control on their mapped drives
-I have disabled the antivirus
-I have tried "save as..."
-I tried saving as in xl97 format (the spreadsheet was written in 97)
-I have used different workstations
-I have used different usernames.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

workstation: win98
excel: 2000
server: win2003

Tom,

lucky me.. I just followed your url out of curiosity.

Then I found the NetworkResiliency option..

Which described (and solved) exactly a problem I was having, while
developing an outLOOKUP worksheetfunction... and there i was blaming
Outlook and Redemption...

=outLookup("Tom","FileAs","Email1Address;MailingAddress","Contacts")

do you think it's got potential at say €30 a license?

It will do arrays to.. and my current 'engine' appears to retrieve
anything from any folder.. even msg bodies)

My email shows ?30, so I don't know if you were using $ or Euro's or
something else but even if I did, I am not sure I could assess what the
appropriate price should be.

There seems to be a lot of demand for sending emails from Excel or having
Excel work with emails. I am not sure exactly what outLookup does, but to
those who are not do-it-yourselfers, I expect that would be good market.
Getting the word out on availability would probably be the challenge.
