I have a document where we have multiple issues. When we go to resize
a "box" with text in it, it will not make the box big to fit all the
characters in it, just the last few lines. Also when we print this
document on 11x17 it prints it on the right paper just makes the text
small and does not fill the entire sheet. Any ideas how to solve this?

Assuming a "box" is a "cell", the maximum numbers or characters that can be
placed in a cell is 32767 but...........by default only 1024 will show or can be
printed.

Add an Alt + Enter(linefeed) every 100 characters to increase this 1024 limit.

If your printer supports 11x17 paper make sure that your settings at File>Page
Setup>Page are correct.........paper size..........adjust to %..........fit to.

With the adjust to %, that keeps going to 35% or around that. How do
I know what to put that to? Is 100% to big? I want to maximize it to
fit the page. The document is also adding page breaks even though I
did not put them there.
Thanks

100% is not too big if it fits the page.

200% is not too big if it fits the page.

Only you know what print area you have set and how much data range must be
printed.

The page breaks are most likely a function of your settings in Page Setup.

Hard to tell from here.

In View>PageBreak View can you drag the blue lines around?

What are the margin settings under the Margins Tab in File>Page Setup.

What is the range under Print Area on the Margins Tab?

I can move the page breaks to meet the page lines. But why do they
appear. When I move them they just move back.

What is a "page line"?

The breaks appear where Excel thinks they should be based upon your print area
and page setup and margins with your particular printer and selected paper size
and orientation.
