i am working on a doc. that is miss-numbering the pages and I can't seem to
fix it. So far, i've wiped out all the page numbers in the footer, but i
noticed that on the scroll bar Up and down on the right side of the docutment
that the numbers are messed up there as well. example: 1,2,6,6,2,3,4. Any
ideas to correct this?

Eliminating the printing of page numbers in the footer doesn't change the
number applied to the page; for that you need to go to Format Page Number
and make sure that each section has "Continue from previous section"
selected rather than a specific "Start at" number. To do this most easily,
with the insertion point on page 1, View | Header and Footer. Then use the
Show Next button on the Header and Footer toolbar to advance from one
section to the next. In each section, use the Format Page Number button on
the toolbar to open the dialog and make sure the setting is correct.
