Document Failed to Print error

Cannot seem to use any printer (HP or Canon) with Windows XP Professional
(SP2 installed) - have recently upgraded from Windows 98 - there is no
problem with the hardware as the printer works fine with W98. The Printer
does not appear in the Device Manager even after installation. Can anybody
help?

Have you checked the manufacturer's website for the latest drivers and
software for your printer?
