document did not save

I created one workbook out of several sheets. Then I try to save it and
Excel does not accomplish the task. It generates a message that goes:
"The document did not save". I have office XP on WinXP working on AMD
Athlon XP 2200.

Does anybody could help me out with this little problem?

save the new workbook each time you added a sheet.
