Document created in word 97 appears different in word 2000

I have created a document in Word 97 however when I email
it to someone that has word 2000, the document does not
fit on one page and the font is different...? What is
going on here, and can I fix this?

The version of Word is less likely to be the issue than the printer driver.

That doesn't seem to be it. I changed some things per the
FAQS that you sent me, but that still didn't work. The
font is totally different at the receiving end and it's on
2 pages. This is really getting frustrating!!

If the font is not installed on the target computer, a different one will be
substituted.
