Document changes in merge to email

I want to start sending our billing statement via email however when I did a
test email the text in my document moved. Is there a way to avoid this? Is
it possible to anchor everything on the page of my document prior to the
merge?

Which, however, won't help if the recipient can't receive attachments as the
OP stated.

Sorry, I guess I was thinking of another post where the OP wanted to send a
document in the body of the mail because the OP couldn't receive
attachments, but the email was changing the document layout (surprise,
surprise!).

Sorry, that should have been "because the recipient couldn't receive
attachments."
