Do you own a ThermalTake PSU?

i was going to put the thermaltake butterfly 480W in my new one, but then (after ibought it) realised it only had an 18a 12 volt rail.

awesome looking psu though
 
I have bought a Purepower 560

Have a look at the picture.

Ive kicked off at ThermalTake big time. Not impressed at all, not for nearly £70

Proper seen me bum!

Spanking new. Got it this morning film wrapped and sealed!

Im not impressed at all

well i can't comment anymore than i have on mine, considering i never used it, but it was packaged first class and was pristine.

surprised.
 
Me too cos I have two of their cases

Excellent and I feel this is quite a let down on the power side. Wish I had gone for a Tagan again now
 
Yeah I had guessed that, However if u look at picture close enuff you can see the cable ties have been put on instead of grommet. The cable tie to the right goes around and through a small hole in the case of which the grommet would hide otherwise.

No excuse really.

If they send me a grommet I will be happy :)

Hmmm, for £70 I'd expect it to have been finished off properly ... even my no-name upsidedown PSU has the cables neatly tucked away. ;)

Looking at OCCafe's pics of the inside, I'd say they have cut some corners on yours ... it is the same PSU too. :rolleyes:

If all you wan't is a 'grommet' find one in Maplin ... :thumb:
 
Pff. Hiper are the way forward nowadays!

No in seriousness, send it back. Or at least do what we brits do best and write a good stiff letter of complaint

It's their problem not mine!

The letter has gone off already, and believe me if I dont recieve an answer they will get another and another. I can be an arguementative git sometimes. I've paid my money I want my product thankyou very much Thermaltake

They should send a replacement if it wasn't supposed to be like that (which I'm sure it wasn't) - let's hope its sorted quickly :)

Not used a ThermalTake before, but I've been impressed with Tagan - although like Chris says, Hiper are looking rather good now so might try them next.
