Hi,

If you would like to see Microsoft release a Pocket Access sync provider for
ActiveSync 4, I need to hear from you. If you would, please e-mail me ASAP
and let me know you are interested in a Pocket Access sync provider for
ActiveSync 4, and I will gather the information I need and forward it to
Microsoft. Thanks!

Pocket Access Synchronization to SQl sERVER CE

Mike,

Hi,

I am encountering the same scenario. I am currently developing a
mobile application using Microsoft Visual Basic .NET 2003.

We have a Desktop Application that is using Microsoft Access as
database, and we previously used embedded VB3.0 to develop a Mobile program which runs on Pocket Access in order to synchronize whatever updates on Desktop Application Database to Pocket PC. If I have developed the new Mobile Applications using Ms
VB.NET (which apparently uses SQL CE as database), how can I make sure I can still synchronize from my Desktop
Application Ms Access to the Pocket PC? Do you have any ideas to share with?

I am interested in getting Pocket Access sync provider for
ActiveSync 4. Please help me.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
YK

Hi

I see this post after discussing with u on a other post for this problem.

So YES our company need a solution to sync Pocket Access through
ActivSync 4.

Our application is composed as this : a PC part (Access) and a PocketPC
part (eVB 3.0 + Pocket Access).

It runs well since WM5.0. Then no more Pocket Access sync ...

We try to use another solution :
On PC : VBA Access + MSDE
On Pocket PC : eVB + SQL CE 2.0
The sync is made through IIS and Merge Replication.

But it's not a good solution because it force our customer to have
Windows XP Pro (cause of IIS)!

So we wait for solution that will make our application runnable on WM5
and XP Home. And our customer wait too ...
