I can't set my permissions each and every time I do they
go wirte back to the orignal settings READ ONLY no matter
what I do they stay the same.I was messing around in the
admin scripts in one of the IIS folders and I think I may
have click on one of the scripts (BATCH FILES) which one
I do not know. Does antone have any ideas on how to
handel this bug. There was also a hidden file that was in
the inetoub folder that will not delete.I tried every
thing.

Read-Only is an attribute of files and folders.
It has nothing to do with permissions, which are
set with ACLs in NTFS.
What appears to be Read-Only attribute on folders
when viewed in Explorer is only a switch that can
be used to set on or off the Read-Only attribute on
the contained files.
If you are having a problem it may be better to
describe the issue rather than asking about the
Read-Only attribute, which almost certainly is
not involved.

Well if you can't or should not call using attributes to
give permission to either write or execute or to just be
able to view a text file, but I have noticed where I went
wrong I used a S at the end of permission when I should
not haved. My apologies. I still can't get my settings to
stay configured >-----Original Message-----
