Do Loop

I have Vista Ultimate installed on a computer and after intalling updates
from Microsoft my compuert is caught in a doloop that says "configuing udates
stage 3" and the computer keeps cycling on and off contonueslly. How do I
stop it and get the compuert working properly?

Press F8 during the 'black screen' just after the BIOS screen, to enter the
Safe Mode option. Run a System Restore to just before the update. If Safe
Mode fails, the 'safe mode with command prompt' has an alternative way to
restore.
