Do I need to reinstall my connection?

After installing Windows XP, do I need to make a new
internet connection, or will it remain the same?

As long as you performed an upgrade or repair installation of XP;
yes it should stay the same.

Hi,

When you perform an upgrade, there are chances that the modem might not work due to the compatibility problems and the file versions between the old operating system and XP. in that case you will have to reinstall the drivers for the modem with the drivers that are compatible for windows xp and also you will want to delete the connection and recreate a new one from scratch so that it uses the updated drivers of the modem.
