Babe

I have a full WindowsXP Pro not an upgrade. Do I have to take Win98 of
my PC before I can install WindowsXP Pro?

I don't want to upgrade over Win98. I'm told a clean install is the
most successful way to go.

Thanks.

Babe, the only difference between "full" and "upgrade" versions of
XP is that the upgrade requires an existing MS OS on the computer.
While, the full is meant to go onto a blank HD.

You can do a clean install with an upgrade CD - at some point it will
ask you to put the previous CD in the drive so it can check you qualify
for the upgrade.

Thanks for the info folks.
