do custom fields save in Exchange?

We need to customize / add some contact fields in
Outlook. If we do this on the desktop version will we be
able to see these fields on OWA? Do they save to the
exchange server?

Example: In contacts we want to add fields called Mobile
Phone 2 and Mobile Phone 3.

Thank you.
 
Yes, these fields store on the Exchange server along with all the other data, but they won't appear in OWA unless you write a custom application (which is beyond the scope of this group -- try microsoft.public.exchange.development).
