Do AMD's Athlon 64 +ACY- Opteron CPUs support WinXP 64-bit Edition?

Do AMD's new Athlon64, Athlon64FX, and Opteron processors support Windows XP 64-bit Edition?
 
The only Windows 64 bit OS available at this time is for the Intel
processor, and is available only on a new 64 bit Intel based computer. The
AMD 64 bit version will be out next year. The AMD 64 bit chip does support
32 bit versions of Windows, as well as the upcoming 64 bit AMD version.
