dnserror referring to shdoclc.dll

N

Nina

I have run Spybot Search and Destroy, Lavasoft Adware,
Hijack This, Norton's Internet Secruity 2004 virus check
and have updated to Service Pack 1. Practically every
time I type in an entry in the address bar I receive the
error

res://C:/Windows/System32/shdoclc.dll.

Sites like yahoo, aol and some secure sites open, others
don't. I cut and pasted the following suggestion from
from KB#833786 and it showed the actual url address as
what is listed above:

javascript:alert("Actual URL address: " +
location.protocol + "//" + location.hostname + "/")

Does anyone have any suggestions? Your help would be
greatly appreciated.

Nina,

Did you forget the semi-colon at the end of the string?

javascript:alert("Actual URL address: " + location.protocol + "//" +
location.hostname + "/");
