DNS Website issues

I have an issue where this particular firm has 3 windows
2000 servers one of which is the dns server for the firm.
This dns server is configured with forwarders in order for
the workstations to get to the internet. Problem arises
in the server domain is the same as the "domain name".

The hosting company uses a virtual server to host the
website.

If i put in dns to forward www.domainname.com to go to x
ip address it does but because the hosting company uses a
virtual server I get the default page of that particular
server in this case apache.

Do you know any work arounds for this?

You could have entered the wrong IP address. There could
be a misconfiguration of the virtual server. Tell us
the _real_ data, so that we can run tests for ourselves.

You could also have entered data for the wrong domain
name, or in the wrong place. Show us your actual test
results from querying your DNS server, for the real
domain name, from the same machine where you are running
your web browser.
