DNS v NLB

J

Joe

I need to know if NLB or DNS would be the prefered method
for name resolution to a BEA Tuxedo domain running on
Advanced Server 2000.

I can resolve the name of the Tux domain within DNS but
that makes failover/redundancy a little messy. or....

I could use a virtual NLB cluster and have the ability to
add/remove machines at will.

Has anyone encountered a similar situation.

Hi Joe,

Not quite sure what you are looking for. NLB provide name resolution and
DNS doesn't provide load balancing. You can have a NLB cluster and use DNS
in conjunction.
