DNS Transfer

A

Alboni

I am adding an additional domain controller to my network
for the purpose of eventually bringing down the old
domain controller and replacing it with another new DC.
How would I transfer DNS to this temporary DC? Thank you.

Al, the easiest way to do this is converting the DNS zone
into Active Directory Integrated, this way you would
ensure that the DNS transfer is included in the AD
replication. By the way, when you´re going to retire the
first DC make sure to transfer before the FSMOs.

Hope this helps,
Robert

Set up DNS as Active Directory Integrated and let them replicate.
