dns server problem

in my network all my clients cannot log on to the server
on the first attempt

they get a msg on the client (win98) no domain server
found to validate the user

and i get dynamic registration of one or more DNS records
failed decouse no DNS server are available.

Can they logon after further attempts?

Do you have the NetBIOS name of the domain in the client for MS Networks
setup?

failed decouse no DNS server are available.

This could be caused by any one or all of several reasons. I will need an
unedited ipconfig /all, the AD domain name from ADU&C, the exact name of
your AD DNS Forward Lookup Zone in DNS, and the SP level of the
server(Important if the domain is a single label name)
