DNS registry fix, now can't connect to internet

recently installed AD on new DC (previously run just as RRAS server, web,
media, etc). I followed procedures for AD registry changes to allow XP
remote client to perform netbios communications so it could see network
folders (originally could connect through VPN service but couldn't explore
share folders). The fix was KB article 830063 "name resolution and
connectivity issues occur on Windows domain controllers that have the RRAS
and DNS service installed". It involved adding Netlogon procedures and DNS
parameters to the registry. I can't imagine that it would cause the problem
since I went back and restored the original values and still no luck.
Either installing AD and promoting machine to DC had something to do with it
perhaps. The server can see the router, other machines on network can
access internet and can VPN to the server internally (I don't think remote
users can access VPN service though - perhaps related problem). I've
reviewed the DNS settings on the server interfaces and can't understand what
happened. Can someone help?

Thanks,
Aaron

Can you provide an ipconfig /all from this machine. SInce AD is on it, can
you state the DNS domain name as well?
Thanks
