DNS problem

Hi,

My DNS domain name Windows 2000 server is example.com

But the web site example.com already exist so my server want to connect to
Internet everytime!

My server is the PDC and the DNS server.

I would like to change my domain name because the XP PRO workstation are
very slow to connect. (I don't want to do a dcpromo)

Do you know a solution to this problem?

I need some help.

Thanks.

A) Are you using a firewall/NAT device between your Internet router and LAN,
and using private IPs on the LAN? You should be...
B) All servers and workstations should specify *only* the internal
AD-integrated DNS server's IP address in their network settings. The
AD-integrated DNS server should be set up with forwarders to your ISP's DNS
servers for external resolution. See
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;300202 for more
info.
