Dns issue

I'm running a SBS on Windows 2000 that is also my
Exchange server, DNS server, and Domain Controller. I am
having a small issue with the DNS part of things. I have
dhcp running on a different server, that's fine, when a
user gets added to dns their name looks like this :
computername.ourdomain.com Which is the way it is
supposed to look. After some short while on both the dns
server and the user's local machine their computer name
will change to computername.irc.ourdomain.com I have
deleted the entries on their local machine's registry and
done a ipconfig /release | ipconfig /renew. The name
goes back to the way it is supposed to be. I delete
their entry from the dns server in the irc folder, yet
shortly thereafter(day or so) it will appear again. It
will also appear with the IRC in the local user's
computer name also. Is this a group policy thing? I am
a little lost here. Thanks for any help!!!

This could be coming from DHCP, Group policy, or from that name being in the
connection specific DNS suffix field on the DNS tab in TCP/IP properties.
