DNS HOSTNAME RESOLUTION

Sir
I have three two way transitive domains and they are
resolving ip but not hostname.If i access other domain
system using name like root then it gives message cannot
find root but if i find it through ip then it access it.
Plz solve my problem

Add the other domain to the search order on the DNS tab and make sure
whatever DNS you are using in TCP/IP settings can resolve *both* domains.
