I am trying to access www.tripadvisor but I get
"The page cannot be displayed
The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be
experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser
settings.
Cannot find server or DNS Error
Internet Explorer"

I can access at work but not at home and am throughly confused! Any help
gratefully appreciated!

You have an incomplete web address.
The correct one is: http://www.tripadvisor.com/

Tried http, .com,full address etc but no luck

Does anyone have the IP address?

I'm guessing there's a firewall issue but I'm not that IT literate!
