dns/cant find server

Anyone know how to fix this running xp pro and explorer 6, both are updated
to sp1 and i cant connect to the windows update site.

Have you tried connecting to other sites...I live in Australia but have been
having problems connecting to US based sites this morning.

Try checking that the MS Update site is not in your Restricted Site
settings.

On Internet Options choose the Security Tab and select the Restricted Sites
icon and click the Sites button. If this is not the problem then it could be
your "HOSTS" file (no extension). You should be able to find a discussion
thread about this in this forum or do a Google groups search.

Go to Tools | Internet Options | Privacy
Click Edit.
Enter microsoft.com
Click Always Allow.
