hmmm. Just guessing here, but maybe you have multiple dns servers setup on
the local machine and the first one IE (indirectly) tries to use has error
or is lame and it moves to second. Does it end up working or you just get
the error?

Hi All,

My Internet Explorer (IE) has being reporting a DNS error
anytime I try to browse the Internet. This error comes
irrespective of the site I try to visit.

This behaviour started yesterday morning and I have
reinstalled IE through "Add/Remove Programs" in Control
Panel but it is still the same.

I am however able to browse the net with Nescape
Navigator. Also, other computers on the network are able
to browse the Internet even though they have the same
configuration as my computer. I even reset the Internet
Options to the default but the problem still persist.

Has anyone faced this before or does anyone have an idea
of how I can solve this without reinstalling my
Windows2000 Professional SP4?

Help needed badly.

Thanks in advance.
