Hi,
I have a HP pavilion d330 with two HD on primary IDE.
1st : Maxtor 6Y160P0 (Y46SESGE)
2nd : Maxtor 6Y080L0 (Y24C20VE)

Both are 133 capable but when testing, they run at 100 for the 1st and
66 for the second. Pavilion is 133 capable. Why ? What must I check ?

On secondary IDE, I have two burners. Should I split the HD on both IDE ?

Thanks

Frédéric

what sort of test?

check that the cable on the second is 80 conductor rather than 40

I suspect the first one is working correctly and you're misinterpreting
the test you ran

your choice; I probably would
