can someone tell me why dllhost .exe , when active,
causes large amount of network traffic when the system
is connected to the network or LAN? with this service
stopped in taskmanager, traffic drops to normal.
Disabling the file appears to cause no other effect on
the system

in simple terms, it is a worm.
