Hi -

What are the benefits, if any, and/or potential issues of
deleting the contents of the C:\Windows\System32\DLLCache
folder?

I am building an image file to be used for our Windows XP
migration and would like to make the image as small as
possible. The DLLCache folder is currently over 370MB in
size.

Thanks, -Stephan

Ask the pros,go to TechNet at microsoft.com,type in sear-

The DLLCache folder holds all the files to make XP run. if one of your
files is to get damaged in some way Windows File Protection will auto.
replace the files with a good new one. If you choose to delete this folder
you will have to put in your Windows XP CD-ROM every time Windows XP needs
to add or make changes to a file.
