.dll files

I have a couple of programs that have appeared on my
computer and are causing all kinds of problems while
trying to use the internet. I have a cable modem and pop-
ups will appear without even opening internet explorer. I
have tried erasing a couple of the programs, but I
receive an error message because it says that .dll files
will not erase due to being protected or in use. I want
this off my computer. Help!

You need to remove spyware with tools like Spybot Search & Destroy from
www.security.kolla.de and Ad-aware from www.lavasoftusa.com. Run these
programs in Safe Mode for best results. Also, be sure you are running a
current (post-2002 version with updated definitions) antivirus program.
