DLink 624+ and LAN using WIN XP

I hope somebody can help me with a problem I have with a 624 router.
Setup Router to cable modem and pc to LAN 1 and have a second pc
connected via wireless using DWL 520+ card. Followed Quick setup guide
and both pc's have access to the internet - no problems at all. But i
am having problems with trying to access one pc from the other. Home
network setup as work group not domain, also have Norton Internet
security running on both pc's. PC connected to via wirless also has
Securemote VPN for access to works server which connects no problem.

Has anybody any tips on how to setup the lan so I can access shared
folders on each of the pc's. I could do this with the original setup
where I used ICS and two DWL 520+ cards to form an AD-Hoc network.
Thought I would add the Dl 624+ so that i could also access the
internet using the wireless connection on my laptop (which also
works!)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

I have a similar set up at home with DI-624 and wireless G cards. I have a file server which stores photos and recorded shows from an HTPC. Here are a couple of suggestions:

1. Don't bother using Norton IS. The DI-624 has very good firewall features. Just set that up properly to your preference.
2. Map drives and folders between the two computers. "\\computername\drive$" Make sure you have the user accounts set up in each computer and if you are using the administrator account put a password on it.
3. Additionally, if you haven't done so on your DI-624. a) Add your two PCs and set MAC address filtering on. b) Set to "G only" if you have only G cards.

Well I hope this helps.
