Not sure if I am in correct group but I'm sure someone will let me know if
not. Am also trying device driver group. Have an old Ditto Max tape drive I
want to install on apc running XP. Go round in circles as software disc says
will only run on Win 95 and Xp will not find any drivers. Donating the pc to
anonprofit and would like to give them the tape drive for back ups as well.
All other searches indicate no support or drivers available. Any help
greatly appreciated.

If you cannot find at least win2k drivers, then dump it
And can you still get tapes? they have a finite lifecycle

If you can find them, try using Windows 2000 drivers.

I'm not sure you would be doing them a favour, in addition to creating a
support nightmare for yourself.

Excellent and reliable backups can be made to CD/DVD with utilities like
TrueImage, and these are faster, cheaper and more reliable media than tapes.
Plus, they don't rely on having a legacy system that can run specific
hardware.
