Distribution list won't go into BCC,

I am trying to send an email to a distribution list. I can only get it to
list in the "to" box. I tried adding it to the BCC, but it goes
automatically to "to"

How are you trying to add it? If you use the address book be sure to click
the BCC button.

Also, which version of Outlook are you using?
