My hard drive died yesterday, so I went out and bought a new Seagate.
Besides the apparent 137Gb limitation I am facing due to an outdated BIOS
(once I get Windows running I plan to flash update), now I can't even get
Windows to install! The same disk I have used several times before is the
one I am using now. After the format process, it copies boot files and
reboots. Nothing unusual. But, after I reboot it tells me, "Windows could
not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: <Windows root>
\system32\hal.dll"
I am at a loss... please, any help would be greatly appreciated!
