distorted images

I have a Dell Latitude D600, Windows XP, and the images
in IE6 are distorted... bitmapped etc. Fonts and all
other items are OK, only jpeg, gif etc seem to have this
annoying distortion. I found an article referring to
this in the Microsoft knowledge base, but can't seem to
get to the fix, if there is a fix. Anyone seen this
problem and fixed it?
