displaying sales order equal to user input

can anyone help this beginner????

I have a worksheet that hold sales for one of our company depots fo
the year todate. There are over 1000 sales and i would like to create
macro using VBA that allows me to enter a date into an inputbox whic
then filters and displays the records with the same date.

I have been trying to do this for almost two weeks now and i just ca
not do it

Please Help!!!!
 
as a beginner, why not just use the Data, Auto-Filter Tool;
It works wonders!!
