Displaying a comment which does not print

Can anyone tell me whether I can add a nice bold comment to a document
(non-printing) so that if I type a document I can let one of my colleagues
know (who may open it in the future) whether it refers to another saved
document, etc.

Thanks

I can think of two ways to do this:

1. Type the nice big comment and format the text as "hidden." The catch is
that this text will be easily hidden from view. The reader will have to
either have paragraph marks showing (which many users don't do) or go into
Tools > Options > View and select to show hidden text.

2. Insert a comment (Insert > Comment). You don't specify what version of
Word you are using. The methods for controlling the print and display of
comments are very different if you are on Word 97-2000 vs. XP-2003.
