Where can I get good information on monitors? I am looking at buying a new
one.

What is the performance situation in Windows? I read that performance
decreases significantly above 1024x768 in Windows 2000. Is this true? What
about other versions of Windows?

Monitor display performance is based on three criteria:

1. Installing a good video card that is DirectX 9 compatible.
2. Installing the latest video card drivers.
3. Installing a good monitor.
4. Installing the latest monitor driver

Consider purchasing a 128MB Geforce or ATI video card
and a nice 17 or 18 inch LCD monitor.
