display trouble

I'm trying to set up multiple monitors. When I go to the
display-settings window I am not given the option of
arranging the monitor icons. I do not have
the "identify" button either. It just says "default
monitor". I remember that I did have those options
before.
I have a laptop in a docking station which is hooked up
to an external monitor. When I depress the Fn and
CRT/LCD buttons I am able to switch the images back and
forth.
 
Is your video card capable of displaying the desktop on
multiple monitor?
