Display total of stacked column?

Running Excel 2000 on Windows 2000 Professional

Is there any way to display the total of the elements of a
stacked column at the top of the column?

I have a stacked column chart that shows four elements in
each bar. I chose "show values" on the "Data Label" tab
in chart options. This shows the values of each element in
the bar. In addition to these numbers, I need the total of
the four elements displayed at the top of each column.

Haw can I do this?

Suggestions?

Found KB article that works. Just had to create a new
series with the totals and change the format so that the
bar is transparent-- slick.

The easy way: add a series which is all zeros. It will be charted on top
of the stacks, but it won't show up because it is only zero. Enter
formulas in a range of cells that shows the totals (if it isn't already
present). Use Rob Bovey's Chart Labeler (http://appspro.com or
http://bmsltd.co.uk) or John Walkenbach's Chart Tools
(http://j-walk.com) to apply the labels in the totals range to the
zero-value series.
